There are many famous people who have had their children through surrogacy. Hilaria Baldwin, also known as the "Surrogate queen", is a famous surrogate who was able to get pregnant. She admitted that she has had two miscarriages in the past. After the birth of her children, Hilaria posted an Instagram announcement stating that she was a mom. Hilaria discovered that she had miscarried a second-time a few months later. She shared a picture with Carmen, her baby girl, to prove the pregnancy.

Jen Atkin

The hairstylist, blogger and OUAI founder recently welcomed her second child via surrogate. Atkin, a surrogate mama, is a part of the Kardashian Jenner family. She has collaborated with Chrissy Teigen and Gigi hadid, the Kardashians. Jen uses social media to promote surrogacy awareness and encourage viewers to give to charity. Mike Rosenthal, her surrogate husband has recently had a son via surrogacy.

Actors Matt Broderick was joined by Sarah Jessica Parker to welcome twins via surrogate. Sarah Jessica Parker was infertile before she married Broderick and was unable conceive. Additionally to her biological child, she suffered from secondary fertility, which is common in women who have had babies. Sarah Jessica Parker and Broderick chose surrogate pregnancy to expand their family. The celebrity couple is delighted with the twins.

Nicole Kidman

Nicole Kidman, an actress best known for her large screen roles has taken up surrogate parenting. Sarah Jessica Parker was her surrogate mother. She gave birth to her first child in 2008 and her surrogate had her second in 2010. Faith Margaret, their second child, was announced by Keith Urban and the actress. Nicole is now close to 50 and is hopeful that she will get pregnant naturally. Her maternal relatives all had late pregnancies.

How to get a star in the Hollywood Walk of Fame

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in 1960 established the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The HWOF's Los Angeles location is at 6233 Hollywood Boulevard. It consists of 2,711 stars embedded into the sidewalk along Hollywood Boulevard. Each star is a symbol of someone who contributed to the production of motion pictures, television, radio and theater or other aspects popular culture. The HWOF currently has 1,922 listed living people.

You must first submit your name and address to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce to become a member of HWOF. The Hollywood Department of Cultural Affairs then submits your information to the City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs. Once approved, a certificate will be sent to you stating that you are eligible. This includes your name as well as date of birth and the city where you live. A bronze plaque with your name inscribed on it is also included. This plaque is attached on a concrete base at the star.

You can apply for a star if a current member of the HWOF nominated you or if you made significant contributions to movies, television, radio, theatre, music, or something else considered part of "popular culture." A committee evaluates all nominations and then decides whether to approve them. If they do, they will send a letter explaining their decision to the applicant at his/her home address. If the person accepts the nomination, he/she receives a second letter confirming acceptance. The Hollywood Chamber of commerce charges $25, and then the money is sent to the Department of Cultural Affairs of the City of Los Angles.

The department issues an official check payable to Hollywood Chamber of commerce. This check is then sent to the Hollywood Walk of Fame Foundation. The foundation pays the artist or organization whose application was accepted. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce receives half of the fee ($12.50). The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs takes the other half.

Once the artist receives his/her star he/she will be eligible to be inducted into the HWOF. To be listed on the HWOF, you must pay the remaining balance owed to the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce. The amount due will vary depending on how long ago you were nominated. If you were first nominated for a nomination in 1990, your owe $15,000. If you were nominated for the first time in 1990, you would owe $15,000.

You will need to contact Hollywood Chamber of Commerce in order to be removed from the HWOF. They will remove you from the list.

How old does one have to get a star on the HWOF?

To be nominated, one must be at least 18 years. To receive a coveted star, one must be at least 18 years old. One can still be nominated after receiving a star after ten years.

What happens if I die before my star gets put up?

A family member can nominate your name for a star. If no relatives are living, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce may place a memorial stone in front of your star.

Why can't we just choose a different street and not have stars all over?

The HWOF is not meant to be a historical monument. It is meant to honor those who contributed to film history.

What happened to the stolen stars? The thieves stole around 1,200 stars. Each star is approximately 250-300 lbs in weight. That's about 4 tons of stars!
