Merle and Jane, who had retired in 1931, left the management of the store to their two sons, Benny (and Lew) Merle purchased the Mansfield Store from Benny & Lew after they had managed it for many years. In the 1930s, they continued the business in both Wellsboro and Mansfield.

It takes about 2 hours to tour the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.

The Hollywood Walk of Fame is a collection of 1,400 stars that are embedded in the sidewalk just outside Grauman’s Chinese Theater. It was established in 1960. It recognizes people who made a significant contribution to film, television or music. Each star comes with a plaque with the person's name and birth year.

There are currently 683 stars located along Hollywood Boulevard from Gower Street to Vine Street. A third of the stars have been given posthumously.
