The House of Windsor refers to the English royal family. It was named in honor of the Duke and Countess Windsor. The current Countess Longford is the grand-daughter of the Duke and a member to the Saxon House. The family also gave birth to three children: the current Countess and Elizabeth Harman Longford, Andrew Roberts and Andrew Roberts. It was renamed to House of Windsor on 1797.
Saxon House
The most well-known office building in Windor is the Saxon House. It is located in the heart the business district and just a short walk from Park Street and the High Street. Excellent road connectivity, including the M4 smart autoway, makes it easy to connect the town with the surrounding areas. Crossrail services are available at Windsor Central Station. Riverside Station in Windsor is also close to Windsor and Saxon House.
Queen Anne's Garden House
This charming Queen Anne's Garden House is set in a quiet location close to Windsor Castle and the town centre. It dates back to 1702, and has three bedrooms. The property was sympathetically renovated. The property successfully blends modern living with period elegance. The property has a fully fitted kitchen and towels. The garden has a willow and is well maintained. The house is situated in Taplow which is a wealthy Thameside town. It is easily accessible from London and Heathrow Airports.
This house is located just half a block from Windsor Castle. It was originally called Frogmore House. Hugh May built this house on the estates of Henry VIII in the 1680s. The name came from the frogs that inhabited the area. The Duke and Duchess later owned the house, followed by a succession of families until 1792 when Queen Charlotte took over the lease and transformed it into a retreat for herself and her children.

George V Memorial Fountain
House Windsor's George V Memorial Fountain is a fine example of this era's finest architecture. Sir Edwin Lutyens designed the monument. King George VI unveiled it on 23 April 1937. The monument's symmetrical design is surrounded with two fountains, each one shaped as a head and topped by a low cenotaph. In the 1880s, the fountain was part of the Acre Graveyard, and it was renovated in 1988 to mark the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
It is Windsor’s most famous statue. The fountain was named after King George V, son of Alexandra and Edward VII. The royal house of Gotha and Saxecoburg was renamed to Windsor by the future monarch. George V passed away at Sandringham House, Norfolk, on 20 January 1936. While a tomb was constructed, George V's body was temporarily buried at Sandringham House under the Albert Memorial Chapel.
Duke of Windsor
The duke & duchess were both buried at Frogmore within the grounds Windsor Castle. While the episode is based on historical events, the show does take some liberties. In fact, the duke was so sick that he was unable to attend the tea hosted at his home by his wife. However, the duchess was able take part in the proceedings. She was even buried with her husband.
Edward VIII was born 1896. He was the child of King George V, who became British monarch in 1910. He served as a military staff officer in World War I and was later the Prince of Wales. In addition to this, he was also involved in work programs for the unemployed, and his popularity among the public grew in the years before his father's abdication. He also served as a member of the Royal Family until his death in 1936.
